It’s official — our Forest Whales winter and spring 2026 school schedule is completely booked! We filled it faster than ever this year, and the reason is clear: schools all across Wisconsin and the Midwest are eager for hands-on science assemblies that actually get students thinking, building, and exploring.
As someone who’s been lucky enough to visit schools with our interactive science exhibits, I can honestly say — there’s nothing like watching a gym full of students light up as they experiment, explore, and make discoveries with their own hands.
Teachers tell us: students remember experiences like these far longer than a worksheet or textbook lesson. That’s why, I think, demand for STEM school programs has skyrocketed across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa — and it’s why we’re already taking bookings for fall 2026 and spring 2027.
What Makes Forest Whales Different
Forest Whales was built on one simple idea: science should be felt, not just taught. Our traveling science exhibits transform gyms and libraries into immersive discovery zones — places where students explore physics, biology, paleontology, and even ocean science through touch, motion, and teamwork.
Each school science assembly is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving — and it aligns with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), making it easy for teachers to connect the experience to classroom learning.
Whether it’s our Discovery Exhibit or the Explorers Package, we bring real science experiences right to your school — no buses, no field trip paperwork, and no hassle.
Why Schools Are Booking Earlier Than Ever
In the past, schools would reach out a few months in advance. Now, many are scheduling their STEM assemblies nearly a year ahead. We think that says a lot about what schools are prioritizing: meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that spark imagination and strengthen curiosity.
It’s also a reflection of what teachers and principals have shared with us — that these programs reignite students’ love for science after years of screens and testing fatigue. When students get to explore, build, and question in real life, they come alive again. And that’s what makes this work so rewarding.
Looking Ahead: Building a Future Full of Discovery
If you’re a teacher or administrator reading this and thinking, “We’d love something like that at our school,” I encourage you to reach out soon. We’ll be announcing new dates for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 soon — and they will go fast.
Our goal is simple: to keep inspiring students across the Midwest with meaningful, memorable science experiences that remind them how incredible our world really is.
Thank you to every school that welcomed us this year. We can’t wait to bring the wonder of science to even more communities in the years ahead.
